The Perfect Mom Jeans

What’s the most current leg wear right now? It’s the mom jeans of course! I’ll tell you I have been seeing some really cool girls around town rocking Levi’s 501 like the 90’s never could.

Hitting the words mom jeans into the search bar of my my Pinterest showcases me dopest looks. I mean, can anybody look bad in those vintage blue denims? Is it really me saying that? Phew, I could not spot one bad example. But there has to be a secret because so far as I remember, I did not look effortless sexy back then rather more fugly in the 501 though I did sport them for a really long time.

Then yesterday while looking for a Carnival costume through fave Vintage store Vintage Emde I spotted piles of old school, never worn blue jeans of the high-rise sort. Actually is something really vintage if its old but still has the original labels tagged? However, I don’t care…

The owner Christian helped me really good and sent me to the dressing room equipped with a stash of various brands. Well, what is there to say, 501 -> still bad on me. I either just don’t have the body type or everyone alters their pair secretly.

Those Wrangler though! Yes, in the end I found my perfect pair of mom jeans. They’re great, they’re incredible. I’ve been wearing them since the morning and I can’t believe how comfortable the thick 100 percent cotton is. It’s stiff and confining but not in an annoying way. I guess this comes from the quality fabric brands used back then.

The label has all kind of stuff written on it like boots for the fit (which can’t mean bootcut. That would look totally different) and zip fly. As if, I need to hold my breath deep and work really hard to get them zippers closed!

Look, how happy I am! I paired the jeans with my brother’s sweater. Also from the 90’s. At least I do own some vintage Levi’s. He wore it in 7th grade and I found it recently on his last closet clear out.
