This is my friend Agathe’s hand sporting incredible rings in silver just in time for Silver Sunday!
We finally met last week at a fair fashion event where she talked about the lingerie brand Opaak which she founded. I know you already keep wondering, the beautiful brassière in these pictures is from Opaak.
All in all 4 minimalist rings but two a little more chunkier. On the left hand’s middle finger she has a thicker wire twisted around with a sphere attached, elegantly covering the ends. On the ring finger is Agathe’s engagement ring to be found, costum made by Cologne goldsmith Kaya Wilbrandt in the form of a key ring. Nice symbolism, right?
On the other hand I found a ring stack of two. The one beneath is her wedding band and the one on top seems like two bent chips stringed together but is actually one piece.
Agathe has a faible for vintage jewelry and found these two amazing artistic pieces at flea markets in Rumania. When I questioned her she also sent me a pic of another treasure of hers.
This one Agathe discovered at an antique market in Germany. It seems almost crudely made but I immediately got captured by its powerful look. I just love how the very big natural pearl is presented in this open mounting almost like an open treasure box.
The ring stems from the 1920/30s and was described as Bauhaus style. I didn’t even know there was jewelry in this style before.
